Richard received a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from
Oklahoma
State
Universityin 1983 and a Master's Degree in Taxation from the
Universityof
North Texasin 1992. After graduation, Richard was employed for several years as a tax professional with such international public accounting firms as Arthur Andersen, Coopers & Lybrand, and Seidman & Seidman BDO. Richard left public accounting for a time to oversee the federal tax department of a Fortune 500 company in
Carrollton,
TX. From 1997 to 2004 Richard has operated his accounting firm, Richard D. Cantrell PC, which specializes in accounting and tax services for businesses. In 2005 Richard merged his accounting firm with the firm of Russell D. Pearson, CPA to create Cantrell Pearson PLLC. Richard has over 22 years experience in accounting and taxation. He is an active member and serves as Treasurer of Lakeshore Church in
Rockwall,
TX. His outside interests include hunting, racquetball, and golf. Richard and his wife, Cyndi, have three children and reside east of Rockwall.

Russell D. Pearson
Partner
Russell graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor and Masters degree in Accounting from the
Universityof
North Texasin 1990. Russell worked with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, an international public accounting firm from 1990 through 1996. Russell was an audit manager in the
Dallasoffice of Deloitte & Touche. From 1996 to 2001, Russell was the managing partner in a local accounting firm overseeing the audit and financial reporting section of the practice. From 2001 to 2004 Russell has operated his accounting firm, Russell D. Pearson, CPA, and worked as a part-time CFO and Controller for small to middle market private companies in the
Dallasmetroplex. Russell has over 15 years experience in public accounting, including financial reporting and taxation. Russell and his wife, Paula, have three children and reside in Rowlett. He serves as a deacon and assistant treasurer at his church in
Garland, and is actively involved with his wife and children in various sporting activities and Upward Basketball.

Cyndi Cantrell
Tax Accountant
Cyndi is a new addition to our CPA firm. She is skilled in tax preparation and Quickbooks. She has many years of non-profit experience. She focuses mostly on individual and small business taxation. Although being married to Richard for 25 years is a full time job, she can be found in the office on a full time basis so she is always available to assist our valued clients.
Morgaine Albyon
Staff Accountant
Morgaine has had 10 years of experience in the accounting industry. She has worked in both the public and private sectors. Morgaine has extensive training in QuickBooks, and tax. She has raised 4 children and now resides in Rowlett.
Paula Pearson
Office Manager
Paula graduated from
Kansas
State
Universityin 1991 with a BS in History and English. Once in
Texasshe pursued her Bachelors from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She now manages the offices of Cantrell Pearson by day and the home of Russell Pearson and their three children by night.
